  8. How It All Began-The story of lashes
It was movie magic that launched a famous beauty trend. In 1916, legendary movie director, D.W. Griffith wanted Seena Owen, the leading lady of his epic, “Intolerance”, to have glamorous lashes so long they would gracefully touch her cheeks when she fluttered her eyelashes or looked down thoughtfully. A wig maker wove human hair through fine gauze and gummed them to Owen’s eyelids creating the very first set of false eyelashes. Needless to say, women wanted the same movie star lashes and a trend was born.
    What they say:
ARDELL has become the world’s leading brand in faux eyelashes because it has stayed true to its mission in wanting to give women a way to have beautiful, unforgettable eyes. The dedication to this goal began in 1971 when Arnold Miller founded ARDELL along with his wife, Sydell Miller. The name ARDELL comes from combining their first names. With the introduction of ARDELL Duralashes, their first line of individual faux eyelashes, the Millers grew their business with great success. They put ARDELL strip lashes and individual lashes on the shelves of thousands of retail and professional stores and the brand never looked back.
    My Review:
Ohhh lahses….do you know anyone that does not want bigger, fuller, longer lashes? I bet the answer is no! I myself love to wear lashes; they make me feel glamorous and sexy! When buying lashes you should look for a few things; first make sure that they real hair, or a mix of real hair and synthetic hair. Real hair makes them lighter and also more natural looking, better quality. I really love the Ardell lashes because I find them to be great quality, and very reasonably priced. They have 40 years experience in making lashes, so they know what they are doing. What’s really amazing is that you can use the individual lashes with the LashTite Adhesive and they will last for 2-4 weeks.
    Pros:
    - Great quality
    - Large selection of lashes
    -Reusable
    Cons:
    -
    none
    1-5:
    I give this product a 5
    Would I buy it again?
    YES

  9. Individual Lashes

Q -What is the difference between LashGrip Adhesive for Strip Lashes and LashTite Adhesive for Individual Lashes?

A - LashGrip Adhesive is a latex-based adhesive formulated for strip lashes to last several hours. It can also be used to apply individual lashes for an evening. LashTite Adhesive is latex-free, and is intended to keep individual lashes on from 2-4 weeks.

Q -Can LashGrip Adhesive be used for applying individual lashes?

A - Yes. Makeup artists use LashGrip Adhesive to apply individual lashes for photo shoots, music videos, and films. If you want individual lashes on for several hours, use LashGrip Adhesive. If you want them to last for several days, use LashTite Adhesive.

Q -Should I apply strip lashes before or after I put on my makeup?

A - Some women like to apply their full makeup with lashes as the finishing touch. Others prefer to apply most of their makeup, lashes, and then blend eyeliner to hide the lash band.

Q -Do I need to apply mascara when using strip lashes?

A - Mascara is optional. If you have straight lashes, you can curl your lashes and apply a little mascara before applying strip lashes. Ardell’s LashMagic is ideal for blending strip lashes to your natural lashes.

Q -Do I need to apply mascara when using individual lashes?

A - If you are applying individual lashes using LashTite Adhesive for long lasting results, mascara is not recommended. If LashGrip Adhesive is used for one evening with individual lashes, mascara can add extra volume.

Q -Strip lashes seem too challenging for me, but I don’t have time to apply individual lashes. Are there any other options?

A - Yes! Try Ardell accent lashes. These are shorter in length than strip lashes (about half the size) and can be applied to the outer edges of your eyes. Gives a flirty look.

Q -Are Ardell lashes human hair or synthetic?

A - Ardell strip lashes are made from sterilized 100% human hair. Individual lashes and specialty lashes (rhinestones) are synthetic.

    Q -Are strip lashes reusable?

A - Yes. You should store them in the container they came in.

Q -How do I clean my strip lashes so that I can reuse them?

A - Non-oily eye-makeup remover will clean them. You may need to use tweezers to remove the adhesive.
